Hearty Paleo Beef Goulash

Hearty Paleo Beef Goulash

In this video, I make a delicious paleo beef goulash. It’s the perfect dish if you’re craving tender beef and rich flavors of paprika, tomatoes, and more. Recipe: https://paleocrashcourse.com/paleo-beef-goulash/

Many amazing flavors make up this delicious goulash. You will notice the flavors from the paprika, caraway seeds, bell peppers, paprika and the beef. One of the best parts is how tender the meat will be by the time you’re ready to eat.

You can enjoy this dish basically on its own without the need for any extra sides. However, if you wanted a side, then some zucchini pasta goes excellent with this tasty goulash.

The entire list of ingredients that I made use of for this recipe is right below. It will come in handy if you need to go shopping and need a list of ingredients.

750g (1.6 lb) beef chuck steak, cut into 3 cm (1in) chunks
2 Tbsp. sweet paprika
1 onion, diced
2 tsp. garlic, crushed
2 carrots, cut into chunks
2 red bell peppers, cut into chunks
2 Tbsp. tomato paste
400g (14 oz) diced tomatoes, fresh or tinned
½ cup beef stock
½ Tbsp. caraway seeds
2 bay leaves

Adding some sweet potato is a great way to bulk out this dish so you can feed more people. One or two medium-sized sweet potatoes will be more than enough.

If you don’t happen to have any beef stock, then it can be swapped for water instead. You might need to add a bit more salt if you’re using water.

You can quickly change this recipe so that it will work in the slow cooker. Make sure you allow a bit longer for cooking. The longer it takes, the more tender the beef will be.

I hope that this video has shown you all the steps to making this paleo beef goulash. If you have some tips, suggestions or feedback, then please don’t hesitate to leave a comment below or over at paleocrashcourse.com

Paleo Coconut Whipped Cream

Paleo Coconut Whipped Cream

In this super short video, I go through the steps to making a paleo coconut whipped cream. It’s the perfect cream to use on paleo friendly cakes or with other desserts. Recipe: https://paleocrashcourse.com/coconut-whipped-cream/

You can have this whipped cream on its own with some fresh summer berries and fruits. Some blueberries, strawberries and even raspberries go great mixed in with this cream. It’s a perfect light dessert.

There are many other uses for this coconut whipped cream such as using it as a topping on muffins or cakes.

The full list of ingredients for this whipped cream is right below. You can leave the honey and vanilla out of the recipe, but I highly recommend that you do include it.

400ml (13 fl oz.) coconut cream, chilled
1 Tbsp. honey
½ tsp. vanilla bean paste

One thing I noticed while making this recipe is that the brand of coconut cream can profoundly impact the outcome of this recipe. Some brands have agents to stop the cream from solidifying making this dish almost impossible. Try to find a brand that is full fat and no additives.

You can use coconut milk, but I highly recommend that you use coconut cream. Milk might not have enough fat in it to make a decent amount of whipped cream.

This coconut whipped cream can be kept in the fridge for a few days so if you want to prepare ahead of time then go ahead. However, like most recipes, this cream is best when it’s made fresh.

I hope that this video has shown you all the steps to making this tasty paleo coconut whipped cream. If you have any tips, variations or anything else, then please don’t hesitate to leave a comment below or over at paleocrashcourse.com

Sesame Chicken Egg Roll in a Bowl

Sesame Chicken Egg Roll in a Bowl

This low carb sesame chicken egg roll in a bowl is a delicious spin on the classic pork version that everyone knows and loves.

Sesame Chicken Egg Roll in a Bowl | Peace Love and Low Carb

Anyone who knows me, knows that I am obsessed with my Pork Egg Roll in a Bowl Recipe. I eat it multiple times per week. When I find a recipe I like, I stick with it. I am the type of person that can eat the same foods over and over without getting tired of them. In addition to the egg roll in a bowl, I also eat my Dill Chicken Salad recipe every week as well. They are both really easy to prepare, making for the perfect easy keto meal. Great for those hectic weeknights where you need a delicious 30 minute meal, or a quick and easy one pot meal. Both of these recipes keep well in the fridge, making them excellent for meal prep. As well all know, staying prepared and setting yourself up for success is essential to losing weight on a keto diet.

After eating the pork variation for so long, I started changing things up each time I would make it. Adding a little more ginger, switching up the meats, using more vinegar etc. Each time was just as good as the last. But I decided that it was time to make a Sesame Chicken Egg Roll in a Bowl variation. You will see that it shares most of the same ingredients as the pork egg roll in a bowl recipe, but in different proportions and with one big change. Instead of using coleslaw, I made this chicken egg roll in a bowl with broccoli slaw. It is SO good, and it really adds to the dish. Once the broccoli slaw cooks down and gets tender, it almost takes on a noodle like texture.

Most grocery stores carry broccoli slaw, you just might not know it because you have never looked for it. If you can't find it, I recommend asking a produce clerk to point you in the right direction. Alternately, you can always substitute and equal amount of shredded cabbage or coleslaw mix. You can even do half coleslaw and half broccoli slaw. That is one of my favorite ways to eat it.

I think one of the reasons I love these recipes so much is that they have the classic Asian inspired flavors that I missed from take out. Now I can have my healthier version of Chinese take out while keeping it low carb and keto friendly. Low carb chinese food recipes? Yes, please!

Also, making this recipe just gave me a good excuse to use my lightsaber chopsticks. I'm basically just an 80's nerd child, trapped in an adult 39 year old body!

Ingredients

3 tablespoons toasted sesame oil (I use this brand)
1 small red onion, chopped (about ½ cup)
4 gloves garlic, minced
5 green onions, sliced on a bias (white and green portions separated)
1 ½ pounds boneless chicken breast or thigh, cut into bite-sized pieces
1 teaspoon ginger powder (I use this brand)
1 teaspoon sea salt
½ teaspoon black pepper
1 tablespoon, plus 1 teaspoon Sriracha sauce or garlic chili sauce, or more to taste
20 ounces broccoli slaw
¼ cup gluten free soy sauce or coconut aminos (get it here or here)
2 tablespoon unseasoned rice vinegar
1 tablespoon toasted sesame seeds (I use this brand)

Instructions

Heat the sesame oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Add the onion, garlic, and white portions of the green onions to the skillet. Sauté until the green onions are translucent and the garlic is fragrant.
Add the chicken, ginger, salt, pepper, and Sriracha to the pan. Sauté until the chicken is cooked through.
Add the broccoli slaw, soy sauce, and vinegar and sauté until the broccoli is tender.
Top with the green parts of the green onions and the sesame seeds before serving. Squirt some additional Sriracha over the top, if desired.

Incredibly Tasty Paleo Peach Cobbler

Incredibly Tasty Paleo Peach Cobbler

In this video, I make an incredibly tasty paleo peach cobbler. It’s a delicious fruity dessert that will please anyone on a Paleo diet.
Recipe: https://paleocrashcourse.com/paleo-peach-cobbler/

For the best result, I highly recommend that you use fresh peaches. If you’re out of options, then tinned peaches will work fine too. Just make sure if you’re using tinned that you get peaches with no added sugar.

You can eat this peach cobbler on its own, but it also goes great with delicious coconut custard. Just try to keep any extras paleo friendly if you’re trying to be strict.

If you need a list of ingredients for this tasty paleo dessert, then you can find one right below. Altering any of the topping ingredients may lead to a dessert that isn’t very tasty.

Filling

500g peaches, sliced

Topping

2 eggs
¼ cup honey
¾ cup Coconut milk
2 Tbsp. Coconut oil
1 tsp. vanilla extract
2 & ½ cup almond flour
½ cup tapioca starch
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. baking powder
¼ tsp. sea salt

This dessert is entirely gluten-free, so it’s perfect if you’re suffering from gluten intolerance.

Personally, I will keep any leftovers as they reheat great the next day. You can also eat it cold and still be happy with the taste and texture.

Feel free to be creative with the fruit in this cobbler. For example, something like blueberries or raspberries will be a great addition.

I hope that you enjoy this Paleo peach cobbler and that this video was easy to follow. If you have some feedback, tips or anything else, then please feel free to leave a comment below or over at paleocrashcourse.com

Incredibly Addictive Paleo Brownies

Incredibly Addictive Paleo Brownies

In this video, I take you through the steps to making some incredibly delicious paleo brownies. They’re the perfect dessert or snack that will please even your non-paleo friends.
Full Recipe: https://paleocrashcourse.com/paleo-brownies/

These will keep for up to about a week before needing to be discarded. Just make sure you store them in the fridge or alternatively you can freeze them. As with most baking they’re best enjoyed fresh.

If you’re not on a paleo diet but looking for something gluten free then these chocolate brownies are perfect. They contain absolutely no gluten so they’re perfect for anyone who is coeliac or gluten sensitive.

If you need a list of ingredients then you can find one right below.

• 1 Sweet Potato (Approx. 2-3 cups when grated)
• 2 Eggs
• ½ Cup coconut oil, melted
• 1/3 cup Honey
• 1 tsp. vanilla bean paste
• ½ cup raw cacao powder, sifted
• 1 tsp. baking powder
• 1 tsp. baking soda
• ½ Cup Almond flour

Due to the baking powder I use in this recipe, these brownies are not considered to be “strict” paleo friendly. You can leave this out but you may find the brownies will not work out nearly as well. It’s only a tiny bit of rice flour (less than 5g) so nothing to really worry about.

These also contain a fair bit of honey which is recommend that you don’t eat too much of. However, if you don’t over indulge you will be fine with eating these.

The almond flour can be replaced with coconut flour instead. However, I would reduce the amount of flour down to just 2 & ½ Tbsp.

I really hope that you do enjoy these chocolate paleo brownies and that you don’t run into any issues whilst making them. If you have some feedback, tips or anything else that you would like to share then please don’t hesitate to leave a comment below or over at paleocrashcourse.com

Simply Delicious Paleo Sweet & Sour Chicken

Simply Delicious Paleo Sweet & Sour Chicken

In this video I make a delicious paleo sweet and sour chicken. It requires a little bit of work but the end result is totally worth it.
Recipe: https://paleocrashcourse.com/paleo-sweet-sour-chicken/

You can make this dish a lot easier by simply not coating the chicken. This will save in time and make the dish quite a bit healthier. The downside is that you won’t end up with lovely crispy chicken.

One of the best things about this dish is how well it is the next day. You can easily reheat it in either a frypan or microwave. Both will work just fine, frypan is the way to go if you don’t like using microwaves.

This dish is great by itself but if you are looking for something to go with it then you should try coconut rice. It’s super easy to make and the end result is incredibly tasty.

If you need a list of ingredients for this paleo friendly sweet and sour chicken, then you can find all you need to know right below.

1x 440g (15 ½ Oz) can Pineapple Pieces with unsweetened juice (Don’t drain)
1 onion, quartered
1 tsp. ginger, minced
1 large red bell pepper, chopped
3 Tbsp. honey
4 Tbsp. tomato Paste
2 Tbsp. coconut Aminos
¼ cup apple cider vinegar
500g (1.5 lb) chicken thigh, cubed
2 eggs
1 cup tapioca starch
1 tsp. salt
½ tsp. pepper

Coconut aminos is pretty important so if you're able to pick it up you will be glad you did. It's just a soy alternative since soy sauce is not allowed on the paleo diet.

You might think this dish is a bit light in vegetables, if this the case then feel free to add more. There are quite a few different vegetables you can add such as carrots, bok choy and much more.

That’s all I really have to say for this paleo sweet and sour chicken recipe. I really hope that it works out to be as great as it was for me. If you have some tips, suggestions or something else that you would like to mention then please don’t hesitate to leave a comment below or over at paleocrashcourse.com

Incredibly Creamy Paleo Tapioca Pudding

Incredibly Creamy Paleo Tapioca Pudding

In this video, I go through the steps to making a deliciously creamy paleo tapioca pudding. It’s the perfect dessert where the leftovers also make for an easy breakfast.
Recipe: https://paleocrashcourse.com/paleo-tapioca-pudding/

This dessert is so good you can eat it just by itself but if you’re looking for something extra then some fruit really goes well with it. Fresh peaches, mango, banana or apples all work great with this pudding.

The ingredients for this recipe can be found right below. Perfect if you need to get some shopping done and need a list so you can make this delicious dish.

½ cup tapioca pearls
3 cups coconut milk
2 Tbsp. honey
1 tsp. vanilla bean paste
2 egg yolks, beaten
¼ tsp. sea salt

One of the hardest parts of this recipe is not scrambling the eggs. Just take it nice and slow when you’re mixing the yolks with the hot pudding mix. This will help prevent you from scrambling the mix.

As I mention above you can have this dessert either hot or cold. Personally, I prefer it either way but it’s great cold on a hot summers day. I wouldn’t try to reheat this dish once it has cooled down. It is unlikely it will reheat nicely so it's best to cook this fresh.

The honey is important for getting that sweetness but can be left out if you’re trying to keep sugar out of your diet. If you’re thinking of increasing it then be sure to remember not to go overboard.

Extra flavorings can be added to this dish such as some ground cinnamon, nutmeg or other spices. Some spices work better with certain types of fruits so be sure to keep this in mind if you’re changing the recipe.

I really hope that you will be able to cook up a delicious paleo tapioca pudding by following this video. You’re able to leave some feedback right below or over at paleocrashcourse.com

Keto Golden Milk Latte Turmeric Tea | Peace Love and Low Carb

If you have been following me on Instagram or even here on the blog, then you know that I recently had to omit dairy and eggs from my diet, due to the onset of food insensitivities and some continuing gut health issues. Thankfully for me, there are so many great low carb dairy free alternatives on the market these days. It’s hard to miss milk and creamer when you have healthy options like almondmilk, cashewmilk, and coconutmilk, and from brands like So Delicious and Silk. In fact, they have much more than just milk alternatives, they also have dairy free yogurt, dairy free coffee creamer, dairy free cheese, and even delicious ice cream replacements. I may or may not have eaten my weight in the So Delicious Dark Chocolate Truffle Cashewmilk. It is so creamy and delicious, without having any dairy. Amazing! And while it isn't necessarily low carb, it is my go to for a random once-in-a-while sweet treat.

When I was approached to do a post for So Delicious Dairy Free and Target, I was over the moon. First of all TARGET!! Hellllo! Target is pretty much my favorite store of all time. You know, the one I go into for mascara and leave with a cart full of things that I never knew I needed. I can’t even tell you how many times I have spent hours on a Saturday morning just perusing every single aisle and enjoying some “me” time. Not to mention that they have the best prices! Between using my RED card (a card attached to my checking account that saves me 5% of every purchase), but they have the cartwheel app. It is a free app that helps you save anywhere from 5-50% on products without paper coupons. To use it, you simply choose percent-off offers and cents-off digital manufacturer coupons in the app, then have a cashier scan your unique barcode at checkout. Super easy peasy and it can save you a ton of money. You can download the app here. There are even coupons for 10-15% off certain So Delicious products going on right now!

So Delicious Dairy Free has so many amazing  offerings. Not just nut milks, but cheeses, yogurts, and desserts too. All dairy free! It is incredible to be able to find easy solutions to help me stick with my dairy free keto lifestyle. You can check out their complete product line here.

Now let’s talk about Keto Golden Milk Latte. To keep this latte dairy free, I used So Delicious Dairy Free Organic Coconutmilk. It has all the amazing health benefits of turmeric, and is warm and comforting, all while being dairy free and allergen friendly. I gave two different options for making this recipe. One is coffee based and the other is more traditional, but they are both equally delicious. You might even say that it is So Delicious! You see what I did there?

Keto Golden Milk Latte Turmeric Tea | Peace Love and Low Carb
Keto Golden Milk Latte

Print Recipe

Description

Traditional Golden Milk recipes do not have espresso. I am just a big fan of coffee, so I decided to take a tradition turmeric tea (Golden Milk) and turn it into a frothy, and delicious latte. But the espresso is completely optional. This drink is amazing with or without it. I have provided instructions for how to make it with or without.

Ingredients

1 1/2 cups unsweetened coconut milk (I use So Delicious)
1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract (I use this brand)
1/2 teaspoon turmeric (I use this brand)
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground ginger (I use this brand)
pinch of black pepper
pinch of Himalayan pink salt
2 shots espresso, optional
1 teaspoon erythritol, more to taste, optional (I use this brand)

Instructions
With an espresso machine:

Add the coconut milk, or almond milk to the milk steaming pitcher. Add the vanilla extract, turmeric, cinnamon, ginger, pepper, and salt. Stir to mix, and use the steamer wand to heat and froth the milk. This will fully incorporate the spices into the coconut milk.
Pull 2 shots of espresso from the machine and pour them into a mug. Top with golden milk, and sprinkle cinnamon and turmeric on top. Stir in erythritol, to taste, if using.

A More Traditional Take on Turmeric Tea Golden Milk:

Add the coconut milk, vanilla, turmeric, cinnamon, ginger, pepper, salt, and erythritol, if using, to a medium sauce pan over medium heat.
Whisk to combine all ingredients. Heat until the golden milk is hot, but not boiling.
Garnish with a sprinkle of cinnamon and turmeric before serving.

Super Easy Paleo Baked Apples

Super Easy Paleo Baked Apples

In this video, I make some delicious paleo baked apples that have an incredible date and walnut filling. The best thing about this tasty dessert is how easy it is to quickly whip up.
Recipe: https://paleocrashcourse.com/paleo-baked-apples/

If you end up with any leftovers make sure you keep them as they will last a few days in the fridge. The leftovers can be reheated but they’re also pretty decent cold.

If you’re after a list of ingredients that you will need for this recipe, then you can find it right below.
• 2 apples, cored
• 1 tsp. honey
• 1/2 tsp cinnamon, ground
• 1/4 tsp nutmeg, ground
• 1/4 cup walnuts, chopped
• 1/4 Cup dates, chopped

One downside to this delicious dessert is that it does contain a fair bit of sugar (natural). If you’re looking to lose weight, then it might be best to avoid this or only have it every now and then.

For the best results, I recommend using a type of baking apple but if you don’t have any around then any good apple will do.

There are a few ingredients that you’re able to swap around with this dish. For example, the dates can be swapped for a different type of dried fruit. Another example is that the walnuts can be swapped for another type of nut such as pecan.

In the video, I prick the apple as this will help stop them from exploding whilst cooking in the oven. It’s not completely necessary but you could find your apples a pile of mess if you don’t.

I hope that this video has been able to show you how to replicate these delicious paleo baked apples. If you would like to leave some feedback, a variation or something else then please don’t hesitate to leave a comment below or over at paleocrashcourse.com

Paleo Burger: A Delicious Homemade Burger

Paleo Burger: A Delicious Homemade Burger

In this video I make an incredibly tasty paleo burger that uses Portobello mushrooms as a replacement of the burger bun. It’s incredibly easy to make and is so good.
Full Recipe: https://paleocrashcourse.com/paleo-burger/

If you’re wondering about the ingredients used for this tasty burger, then you find them below. Keep in mind the spinach, avocado and other ingredients can be easily swapped out if you don’t like them.

Burger Patty
• 500g (17 ½ Oz) Ground Beef
• 1 Egg
• 1 Brown Onion, diced
• 1 Tbsp. Parsley, chopped
• 2 tsp. garlic, crushed
• Salt & Pepper

The rest of the burger
• Portobello Mushrooms x 2 (Per Burger)
• Bacon
• Red Onion
• Avocado
• Baby Spinach

You will find that this burger is a lot healthier than your traditional types. This is because we have removed some of the unhealthiest components such as the sauces, cheese and bread.

If you want the full meal, then you should look at cooking up some sweet potato fries to go on the side. These are incredibly easy to quickly make.

One problem that people often have with meatballs or burgers is that they fall apart. The best way to avoid this it simply not to play with the food whilst it is cooking. The other issue that might happen is that you have not combined the mix enough. You need to work the mince until it is really well combined.

If you prefer a good guacamole, then you can swap the avocado out for this. Again you will probably need to prepare this yourself as supermarket brands often have tons of added shit to it.

Now I hope that this delicious paleo burger comes out as well as it did for me. If you have any of your own variations, tips or anything else that you would like to share then please feel free to drop a comment below or over at paleocrashcourse.com
